The hotel had some shortcomings like small, old, and dimly decorated rooms with a faulty shower. Although the room was cold and had an offensive smell with stained furnishings and limited door opening, the hotel's staff was a mix of aggressive and friendly. The only good aspect was the ideal location, marred by parking difficulties and shady surroundings.

Rooms
5.0
The room didn't match the pictures and was smaller than expected, outdated, and had dark decor. The shower didn't work properly, and the room had offensive smells and stained furnishings. The space felt cramped with unnecessary furniture.
Service
5.0
The service was a mix of extremely aggressive and rude behavior at night and friendly and approachable demeanor at other times.
Location
6.0
The location was the only redeeming quality, close to the train station and city center but challenging for parking and surrounded by a funeral parlour and dodgy pubs.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was acceptable with no extra costs but had cleanliness issues like wiping tables down with hands instead of cleaning them properly.
Facilities
7.0
Basic facilities were available without extra charges.

My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location was ideal, right in the center of everything I needed, but the room was extremely small with an ugly view of the roof. The service was helpful overall, though a bit stiff. The dining was a mix of kind words from staff in the morning but with a heart-attack-inducing menu. There were some facilities available, but some major renovations might do this place good.

Rooms
5.0
Before seeing the room, I was worried because it was very stuffy being beside the service area with oil tanks etc. The rooms were a bit on the small side.
Service
7.0
The staff were very friendly and accommodating, but the interactions felt a bit stiff and cool at times.
Location
9.0
The location was perfect for me as it was right in the center, just off St Patrick's Bridge, and a short walk from the train station.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience had its highs and lows; I appreciated the personal serving and kind words every morning from the staff, but the menu was like a heart attack waiting to happen.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities could do with some improvements, but there were basic amenities available.

The hotel offers a central location in Cork with plenty of dining options nearby, though the parking space is limited. The room we stayed in, Room 10, was subpar for the price paid, lacking proper ventilation and basic amenities like a window and toilet paper.

Rooms
5.0
Our room, Room 10 located 18 steps up, did not meet our expectations with poor ventilation and essential items missing.
Service
8.0
The service was very good and the staff was kind. The room was comfortable, and the Irish hospitality added a nice touch.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location in the center of Cork was convenient with easy access to public transit and activities nearby. However, the limited parking space for only six cars was a downside, and the price of €125 for parking felt unreasonable.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was basic, not meeting our expectations for a hotel. However, there were no extra costs and herbal teas were available.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel lacked sufficient parking space, accommodating only six cars, which was disappointing considering the room rate. The basic dining options and the absence of some amenities like herbal teas were inconvenient.

The hotel room was very clean but a bit outdated, located at the back of the hotel on the second floor. The price without breakfast wasn't worth it at €138. The service did well in keeping the hotel clean and tidy, and the staff were nice, with comfy beds and a lovely breakfast. The location is excellent, right in the center of Cork, close to everything, including rail and bus stations. The dining was pricey with a poor continental breakfast. The hotel has potential for a revamp. The facilities were adequate but could use some updating.

The hotel's location was ideal being very close to the city center and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the rooms were small and shabby, making it a bit uncomfortable to sleep. The dining experience was good but the smoking area was not safe.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were tiny and shabby, and it was too warm to sleep with the windows closed due to lack of water pressure.
Service
7.0
The staff were really friendly and helpful, although there was some dismissiveness experienced in the morning.
Location

The hotel's exceptional location near the city center made it suitable for those looking for a convenient stay, yet it was overpriced for the area.
Dining

The dining experience was good with delicious food, but the smoking garden on the first floor was dangerous.
Facilities

The facilities were run off their feet, and the smoking garden was perilous.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The location is excellent, right in the center of Cork making it easy to explore the city. The rooms are a bit small and dated but clean. The service was friendly and helpful, though not very professional. The dining options were nice, offering a good variety of dishes. Overall, a decent stay with a few minor downsides.
